I am an independent lecturer and management consultant specialising in healthcare and the voluntary sector. As a healthcare professional my specialities include oncology and palliative/end of life care. I have worked in the healthcare, education and voluntary sectors for over 20 years as a clinical practitioner, manager, adult education and higher education lecturer, project lead and researcher. The main areas I currently work in are :

Education is essential to ensure best and safe practice, maintain and improve quality, encourage personal and professional growth and development, enhance morale and attract and retain staff.
I can provide a comprehensive education service : conducting training needs analyses, developing appraisal systems, course and programme development and delivery.
I have a particular interest in developing e-learning opportunities, both as stand alone provisions or as part of a blended learning approach.

Working with public, private, voluntary and charitable organisations reviewing, developing, and implementing administration, management and quality assurance & audit systems and processes. Also developing practice standards, guidelines and protocols. Also helping to develop strategies, business plans, policy, practice standards, guidelines and protocols.
Project Management
Studies, Research, Reviews
Working as an independent investigator and consultant conducting feasibility studies, needs analyses, research & audit and facilitation of ethics committee applications, and National Lottery / Big Lottery Fund grant proposals and applications.
